Under One Woof - Terms and Conditions

General

1) All dogs must arrive secured on a leash or inside of a carrier and be safely brought into our facility by their guardian. We cannot be responsible for dogs lost, hurt or misplaced arriving or leaving from our facility.

2) Appointment start and finish times are estimates and can change. Sometimes appointments may be delayed to get started. Some appointments may take longer to complete than estimated. If more time is required to finish the appointment you will be contacted by phone.

3) We reserve the right to do what is best for the health of your pet and this may not necessarily be in line with your exact personal style preferences for grooming.

4) All pets, staff and property must be treated kindly by all salon visitors.

5) We do not accept any aggressive dogs.

Flea & Tick Prevention

We require our pet clients to be on monthly flea and tick preventative. If fleas are found you will be charged an additional fee for sanitation and a flea bath. We will do our best to assist depending on the circumstances. If other parasites are found on your pet during your dog grooming appointment we will stop the service immediately. We will call you for an urgent pickup and you will be charged in full. You will be required to deal directly with a veterinarian to handle any issues before returning.  We can reschedule you once the issue is resolved. For the health and safety of our guests we must ensure our salon remains parasite free.

Health and Medical

All current or previous medical or behavioral issues must be discussed with your groomer prior to your appointment. Please report any special needs, injuries, surgeries, sensitive areas, conditions, or illnesses your pet currently has or has had in the past. Please keep us updated and notify us of any new changes to your pets health. Keep in mind grooming senior dogs, puppies and dogs with medical issues present additional risks for potential injuries and can take longer. Grooms often take longer for dogs with behavioral, health or age related issues. Our staff reserve the right to decline and or discontinue services of any pet at any time. We cannot accept pets that present with any of the following issues: aggressive behavior, current injuries, open wounds, skin issues, parasites, pregnant or in season females. We are unable to assist with dogs that are unvaccinated, ill or have been skunked.

Vet Authorization for Medical Emergencies

If there is a serious medical emergency while your pet is under our care we will take them to the nearest veterinary hospital for treatment. Any costs associated with the veterinary visit will be the responsibility of the pet's owner.

Accidents

As safe as our groomers and staff are, there are still many risks associated with working with live animals. The tools we use are very sharp and dogs can move unexpectedly. Even with being very cautious pets can be unpredictable and accidents can happen. Grooming may result in complications such as but not limited to scratches, cuts, abrasions, tears, nicks, injuries from falls/jumps, clipper burn and nail trim quick bleeding. If an accident results in a minor injury, we will handle it to the best of our ability. Your groomer will discuss and show you any grooming related issues upon pickup. You are then responsible to monitor your pet once back in your care to ensure no further issues arise. All incidents are documented for our records. Rest assured we always keep your pets safety as our number one concern at all times!

Bathroom Incidents

Within 15 minutes of your appointment please make sure you have taken your dog out to go to the washroom to fully empty themselves before arrival. Accidents resulting in your dog needing to be re-bathed and the extra time required will be charged accordingly.

Pricing

Pricing is subject to change without notice. Reasons for changes in pricing can occur but are not limited to the condition of your pets coat, their behavior, health conditions, requested addons and what type of service you are receiving. Estimate price may not reflect the final price depending on factors above.

Matting & De-matting

We have a de-matting fee of $1.25 per minute. If your pet arrives with matting additional charges will be added to the service. Understand there can be elevated safety risks associated with removing matting such as but not limited to skin irritations, hair loss, cuts, bruising, clipper burn, hematomas on ears and others. Pre-existing issues unknown to the groomer and owner may present themselves such as skin infections and irritations, abrasions, redness, bald spots, hot spots/sores, itchiness and parasites.  Our groomer may have to shave the hair very close to the skin to complete this process as safely as possible. The pet's hair may have to be shaved shorter than the owner requests, in these cases the dogs safety is the salons number one concern. Our salon cannot be held responsible for any complications or vet care fees required from or relating to de-matting or shaving matted dogs. It is the responsibility of the owner to maintain their pets coat in between grooms. Owners must monitor pets after grooming to ensure they do not aggravate themselves further after matt removal process. Refer to our full de-matting policy for more details.

Cancellations and appointment changes

If you would like to make any changes to your reservation we kindly ask to be contacted 48 hours before your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule the salon must be notified a minimum of 24 hours before your booking. This allows us to fill your dedicated booking spot with another customer. If you contact for cancellation less than 24 hours from your appointment you will be charged for 50% of your service. If you do not contact us and no show for your appointment you will be charged 100% the full rate of your booked service. To book your next appointment any due fees must be paid in full before booking. If we have any issues regarding the above we will require a card on file for future prepayment. We are a very busy small salon so please keep these courtesies in mind.

Muzzle Usage

Muzzles may be used at our discretion to provide safety to both your dog and our groomers. We only use muzzles for safety and to avoid the potential of harm to your pet or our staff. Rest assured there is no harm to your dog if they do need to wear a muzzle. We are very cautious and fully monitor any muzzled dogs. We take safety very seriously and want to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Dogs must arrive by their scheduled appointment time. You may need to wait a few minutes for our staff to be available for these exchanges as we work one on one. If on special request you need to drop off earlier this must be approved by your groomer ahead of time. Once your grooming session is complete you will be notified by phone to pick up as soon as possible. Any dogs that must stay more than 30 mins after their grooming completion will be charged a daycare rate of $20 per hour. If you are late and we are not notified you will be charged $1 per minute after 30 minutes. We have a small salon space therefore quick collection is necessary!

Late Arrival

We must be called and notified if you are arriving late. Late fees may be applied. If you are more than 15 minutes late it is at the groomers discretion to reschedule you if needed. Please keep in mind each grooming slot is based on the specific amount of time it takes to complete your unique service. If staff are rushing or have limited time this may affect the quality of the groom. If we are unable to complete the groom due to lateness, full fees may still be charged.

Behavior

We have the right to refuse service or stop your services at any time for any reason. If we believe your dog is unable to be groomed due to excessive stress or danger to itself or to our employees we will cease service and request immediate pickup. A fee will be charged according to the work completed. Additional fees may be applied to dogs with behavior related issues. These dogs can take longer to groom and or require more than one staff member to assist with services. If client pets cause damage to our salon property or other pets while under our care their owners will be held responsible. Our salon has the right to refuse service to any customers that treat our staff, animals or property poorly. We ask for our staff and salon to be treated kindly at all times as no abuse will be tolerated.

Allergic Reactions

We do our best to only use high end products that are not known to cause skin irritations. Sometimes even with these precautions reactions can still happen. Please notify us within 24 hours if your pet has any reactions to products used in our salon. Any medical expenses for veterinary care related to reactions will be the responsibility of the owner.

Scheduling- Appointment Frequency

All clients must be booked on a regular schedule and pre scheduled for future grooming sessions. To stay an active client all bookings must be no longer than 10 weeks apart. We recommend 4-6 weeks between grooming appointments to have the easiest maintenance and to get the best grooming price. If you are unable to keep up with your required schedule you may be removed as a client at our discretion

We request you do not come inside to pick up your pet until notified by the salon. If you do happen to arrive early please wait in your vehicle until you are contacted about your pet being ready for pickup. If you do enter our building please be as quiet as possible to not alert your dog about your arrival. Any interruptions to our groomers during sessions can be dangerous to both your pet and our staff. If your pet becomes too excited upon your early arrival and we are still working on them the service may need to end without completion. Full charges will be required in such cases.

Satisfaction

If you are unhappy with service you have received from us please contact our salon within 24 hours from the appointment. The satisfaction of our pet parents is very important to us we would like to do our best to rectify the situation. Minor adjustments can be made within a limited timeframe.
